When you are lifting weights, there are certain ways to go about it to be sure. There are some that are better than others, and frankly man have found that certain patterns specifically work better for them than they do for others. However, the best way varies between individuals. So it realistically speaking depends on you as to what you should choose to do in general terms.
However, for most people, they say that you should switch between different areas of the body. You can work the abdominal or core area every day. But in terms of your weight lifting, you should switch between the upper and lower body to achieve the best possible results. In general terms, you should spend one day doing the arms and chest and the next doing the legs.
This gives each area time to recover and recuperate, and then it helps you to achieve better muscle building results in a shorter period of time. But again, this depends on the individual as to what will work best. It is more a matter of trial and error than anything else. However, recommendations from trainers are made on the general population and over time what they have learned about you as an individual.
